Yeobani Lara is the Community Outreach Manager, Funeral Counselor, Advanced Planning Director and a co-founder at Basham and Lara Funeral. A resident of Wasco, CA. Yeobani Attended at Wasco High school and Bakersfield College. 

Yeobani’s successful career in this industry traces back to his first role as a funeral counselor at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Mortuary from 2009. In this position, his skills and expertise grew drastically and as an appreciation to his efforts, he won the prestigious Rookie of the Year and Funeral Counselor of the year Award for the whole California Market. What started as an opportunity to help families grew into a passionate calling thus Yeobani left Hillcrest Memorial Park and Mortuary in 2011 to join the Basham Funeral Care and serve the community he loves even closely working as a Funeral Counselor and Advanced Planning Director. 

At Basham Funeral Care, Yeobani worked diligently with thousands of families leading to the unmatched success of the funeral home. To maximize on his impact and fully utilize his expertise, Yeobani Partnered up with John Basham and his brother Kevin Lara and founded Basham and Lara Funeral Care in 2018. This is a family-oriented business that has satisfactorily served families from Shafter, Wasco, Lost Hills, McFarland, Delano and North Bakersfield to date. The quality of service and dedication to the needs of everyone showcased by Yeobani has attracted numerous high-profile funerals.

A dedicated family man and a loving father, Lara enjoys spending time with his family. He is a loving husband to his wife Karyn of more than a decade and together they have been blessed with two lovely kids; a son Maddox and daughter Madilyn, who Yeobani wants to raise into honest and respectful adults. To create a good example and influence his children positively, Yeobani is constantly involved in their lives and spends hours with the family playing Fortnite every evening despite the demands of his busy schedule. 

From a young age, Yeobani has cultivated a positive working relationship with the community. He actively participates in community-based projects and never shy’s away from responsibility whenever he is called upon. His relationship and allegiance to the community has propelled him to serve thousands of families in Kern County including many service members who have passed in the line-of-duty. A pillar to his community, Yeobani has directed many of Bakersfield highest profile funerals cultivating a positive relationship with the affluent members of the community including Clergyman, all who hold him in a high regard.
