Al Nava, 81, of Bakersfield, CA, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on the evening of December 29, 2021. Al was preceded in death by his parents, Andres and Soledad “Chole” Nava, brother Isidro”Chio” and Everado “Lalo” Nava, and sisters Amelia Baeza, Alicia “Alice” Nava Casares, and Lucila “Lucy” Jimenez. Al served his country as a staff sergeant in our US Air Force and served his community with Bakersfield Police Department. It was his way of keeping his loved ones safe. He was also very involved with Kern County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and JBA baseball. Al enjoyed spending time with his family, walks with his wife Judy and dog Dallas. Al always had a story to tell. Al is survived by his wife Judy, son Brian and his wife Samantha, daughter Leah and wife Lucinda. Nephew (like a son) Rick Madriaga. Granddaughters Alena, Alyssa, Ava. Grandsons Lucas, Mayson, Isaac, Dylan and Christian. Great grand kids Aaliyah and Xavier. Graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 24th at 10:45am at the Bakersfield National Cemetery located at 30338 East Bear Mountain Blvd, Arvin, California
