Adam David Garcia was born on April 30, 1989 and went to his creator on Wednesday October 19, 2016, after a brief and sudden illness at the tender age of 27. He leaves behind his Wife Alicia Garcia (Gonzalez), his daughters Lucy Garcia (LuLu), Sadie Garcia, and his son Adam Garcia Jr. (A.J.). He is also survived by his mother Pat Barron, his twin sister Renee Garcia, his brothers Gabriel Barron, Jesse Barron, and his grandfather Refugio DeLeon. Adam was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin, and Soldier. He loved his time with his children, and was a very patient caregiver to AJ's special needs.Adam and Renee were born in Bakersfield, CA and raised by their single mother Pat, along with brothers Gabe and Jesse. Though times were often tight, the little house on Dunlap St was home until it was razed in order to construct the Westside Parkway; and it was a great home. Surrounded by cousins, aunts, uncles, and his older brothers, he never missed anything by being raised by a single mother.Adam and Renee were side by side their whole lives, and jointly attended Mount Vernon Elementary, Curran Middle School, then Bakersfield High School members of the class of 07. Adam participated in baseball at JBA, he was a member of the BHS Air Force Junior ROTC, and loved to listen to music and hang out with friends. He attended Inland Empire Job Corps in San Bernardino, where he met his wife to be Alicia.Adam married Alicia surrounded by family and friends in a small ceremony in the backyard of his childhood home on Dunlap St. on April 25, 2009; it was a glorious day. He departed for basic training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma soon after, his daughter Lucy born while he was away. After finishing Advanced Individual Training (AIT) he and his family were stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Adam served his country with honor with the Group Support Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne); ever the dare devil, he was very proud of his many jumps, and his time in the Army.Adam's life will be remembered at a memorial service Friday, November 4th at Basham Funeral Care at 620 Oregon St, Bakersfield, CA with viewing beginning at 0930AM and the memorial service at 1100AM; immediately following the memorial service, Adam will be laid to rest with military honors at Bakersfield National Cemetery, 30338 E. Bear Mountain Blvd, with services beginning at 1:15pm.
