Adela Juarez Romo

Adela Romo, 68, of Bakersfield, CA went home to be with the Lord on November 18, 2017. A Celebration of Life service will be held on November 30, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. A funeral service will be Friday, December 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Both services will take place at the Apostolic Assembly Church, located at 519 Mt. Vernon Ave., in Bakersfield, CA A graveside service will follow at Greenlawn Funeral Home Northeast, 3700 River Blvd., Bakersfield, CA.



Adela was born November 12, 1949 in El Paso, TX to Juan Juarez and Josephine (Gardea) Juarez. Adela was a faithful member of the Bakersfield #1 Apostolic Assembly Church and was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ according to Acts 2:38 on January 31, 1988 by Rev. Jess Zaragoza. She loved going to the house of the Lord and never missed an opportunity to share the Word with and invite someone to church. She wanted everyone to know Jesus Christ.



Adela is preceded in death by her parents, Juan Juarez and Josephine Gardea, her son, Manuel Reyes, son-in-law Mac Jonathan Montez, brother Gilbert Juarez, and sister, Ida Juarez. She is survived by her husband, Fernando Romo, and children, Marlene Montez, Yvette Reyes, Robert and Cherie Reyes, Carolina and Albert Sanchez, and Fernando and Mari Romo. She is also survived by her siblings, Johnny Juarez, Ricardo Juarez, Cindy Juarez, Laura Cardenas, and Benjamin Juarez, as well as 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly.



Family and Friends knew Adela as a hard worker, always paying close attention to detail and putting her whole heart into whatever she did. Adela will always be remembered as a God-fearing woman who loved to worship the Lord.
