Anthony grew up in Bakersfield, CA. He is survived by his mother, Yolanda Neri; sister, Arlene Gomez and brother, Felipe Neri; children, Monique Ruiz, Monique Gomez, Monate Cortez, Malinda Cortez, Martina Cortez Antoinette Ramos and his only son, Anthony Renae Alvarez, Jr. He is also survived by his twenty-three grandchildren.
Anthony R. Alvarez, Sr. was preceded in death by his Father, Paul Lee Alvarez; brother, Joseph Neri and by his brother, Rudy Alvarez.
He enjoyed spending quality time with his grandchildren whom he adored. He will be truly missed by all his family. He was quite the character with a humble heart. His smile was beautiful. He loved unconditionally.
Visitation will be held Monday, May 20, 2019 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Victory Outreach (220 Eureka St.). Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery (3700 River Blvd.). For further information please visit www.BashamFuneralCare.com
