Athena "Tina" Lynn Otterness was born on August 23, 1958, in Bakersfield, California. She passed away on May 19, 2021, at the age of 62.
Tina was the happiest and funniest person. She never let us down when we needed a joke to make us laugh. Tina also had such a generous heart. She would have given us her last dollar and the shirt off her own back. She loved her daughters and grandbabies with her whole heart.
Tina is survived by many who loved her deeply: her daughter and spouse, Lacey Byron-Kangas and Jacob Kangas, and their 2 daughters Braylee and Brixtyn; daughter Shelbe McClain; sister Pam Rutherford; sister Annette Rutherford-Rackley; brother Farrell Lee Rutherford; and best friends John King and Dan McClain. This list could go on and on. We will always remember her as the loving and caring woman that she was. She will truly be missed by everyone her life was touched by.
