Beatrice Cuellar

Beatrice Sanchez Cuellar, 97, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2022 in Bakersfield, California. She was born on June 22, 1924 in Port Arthur, Texas and spent time in Uvalde, Texas before later moving to Bakersfield where she resided for many years.

Beatrice married the love of her life, WWII veteran and Purple Heart recipient Frank Cuellar Sr. in 1954. Beatrice and Frank were happily married for many years before his untimely passing. Beatrice enjoyed her years working as a nurse's aide at Mercy Hospital Downtown for 30-years.  She cherished spending time with family and one of her favorite hobbies was sewing. Beatrice will be remembered for her everlasting faith, kindness, and love.

Beatrice is survived by her children Danny Cuellar and his wife Lupe, and Alice Rodriguez of Bakersfield, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Beatrice was preceded in death by her beloved husband Frank Sr. and her son Frank Cuellar Jr.

Visitation will be held at the Basham Funeral Care Chapel, 3312 Niles St. Bakersfield, CA 93306, on March 9, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at the Basham Funeral Care Chapel on March 10, 2022 at 11:00 AM, followed by graveside services at Union Cemetery.
