Bennie L. Fletcher

Bennie Lee Fletcher passed away October 31, 2022 in Bakersfield, Ca.

Bennie was born August 29, 1927 in Delhi, La. To Nick (Bossie) and

Annie (Carter) Jackson. Bennie accepted Christ at a early age. Bennie

attended school in Louisiana. Bennie and Odell Fletcher were married

on June 17, 1944, and through this union five children were born.

Bennie and Odell moved from Louisiana to New Mexico, and then

to California in 1952. In Bennie’s early years she was a housekeeper

to many families. Bennie loved to spend time with family and friends

and going to the casino’s, Bennie always loved to cook Thanksgiving

and Christmas dinners for family and friends.

Bennie was preceded in death by her Husband of 72 years at the

Time of his passing Odell Fletcher (2016), Odell Sonny Fletcher Jr.

(2012), Robert Lee Fletcher (2005), her Parents, 4 Sisters, and 9

Brothers. Bennie leaves to cherish her memories Daughter Zenola

Grier, Sons Bobby (Brenda) Fletcher and Jimmy Fletcher all of

Bakersfield, Ca. Brothers Earl (Earleen) Jackson, Perry (Marlene) Jackson, Nick Jr.

(Nettie Lee) Jackson Of Delhi, La. Sisters Lois (John) McCoy and Doris Jackson of Delhi,

 La. Sister-in-Law Gladys (Joe) Kennedy of Bakersfield, Ca. A host of Grandkids,

Great Grandkids, Great Great Grandkids, and Nieces, Nephews, relatives

And friends. A Special shoutout to Grand Daughters Japoria Almaguer,

Mercedes Saenz, and Tina Wood. Thank you all.
