Beverly was born in Lindsey, CA, to Bobby and Mary Durrett. She later moved to Bakersfield, CA, where she was raised and attended North High School, graduating with her class. She became bilingual, learning Spanish, and worked as a transcriber for the Kern County Courts. Later, she worked at the Kern County Department of Human Services and then Surface Pumps Inc. Continuing her education, she earned an associate degree in Medical Billing from San Joaquin Valley College and worked at Truxtun Radiology for 13 years as an Authorization Clerk.
Outside of work, Beverly passionately dedicated herself to being the biggest and most enthusiastic cheerleader for her kids and grandkids. She was affectionately adopted by many children in the community as “Mom” and “Nanny.” She had a great love for sports and NASCAR, with Dale Earnhardt, Dale Jr., and Kevin Harvick being her favorite drivers. She was also a devoted football fan, with the Ravens as her team of choice. Whenever the Ravens played the Steelers, Beverly and her husband lightheartedly joked about living in a "house divided" and pretended to be divorced for the day.
After months of health challenges, Beverly passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her husband, daughters, grandkids, and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Linda Darter, and her son Bobby Zamora. Beverly is survived by her husband, Jorge Rodriguez Ochoa; her daughter Suzie and son-in-law Rick Daves; her daughter Mary Zamora; her daughter Elizabeth and son-in-law Joseph Ramirez; her son Russell Rozelle; her brother Steve and sister-in-law Joan Durrett; her grandchildren Brendon and Christopher Waggoner, Joseph Darter, Bailey Daves, Isaac, Elijah, and Johnnie Lee, Jermaine “JJ” and Anaiah Jones, and Emma, Christian, Chloe, and Bobbie Ramirez; her great-grandchildren Brooklynn, Brendon Jr., Braylynn, Hazlynn Waggoner, and Delanie Lee; her nephews Jeremy Darter and Ryan Durrett; her niece Erin Durrett, and numerous other nieces and nephews.
