Beverly Ann Jerri

Beverly Ann Jerri, of Bakersfield, Ca. age 82, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2016 and entered Heaven's gates. She was born in Detroit, Michigan to the late Alfred Cerini and Mafalda C. Cerini.

Beverly moved from Detroit to San Pedro in 1954 for a short stay prior to moving to Bakersfield in 1957. She began a career in the loan industry but took a break to work in the Auto Leasing business at Three Way Chevrolet. She soon got restless and moved south to Burbank where she once again embarked on a very successful and lucrative business as a loan Officer capitalizing on the California housing boom. She bought a home, invested and traveled often. In 1989, she returned to Bakersfield to be closer to her family and finished her working career at Consumer Credit Counseling as a bookkeeper until she retired completely.

A consummate mother and best friend to all, Beverly was an avid bridge player and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends while entertaining and just having fun. Over the years she traveled often and enjoyed numerous cruise trips. She also loved to watch food and cooking channels. Beverly was a member of the Optimist Club and Ladies Lions Club.

Beverly is survived by her eldest son, Dave D. Jerri, Jr. and wife, Marti; daughter, Shawn L. (Jerri) Schwarz; and son, Cregg S. Jerri and wife, Teri. She had six grandchildren, Jennifer Haley and husband, Larry; Morgan Ortega and husband, Garrett; Samantha Halloway and Shelby Schwarz, Taylor Jerri and Hayley Jerri. Beverly also was blessed with four wonderful great-grandchildren, Maddox Haley, Wyatt Sande, Dayton Wright and Nash Ortega. Beverly also has one living sister, Sharon Neville and husband Jack.

Beverly was preceded in death by her brother, Alfred Cerini; and sister, Joan Millard and husband, Robert K. Millard II. She also leaves behind so many loving friends who all were a wonderful part of her life. She will be sorely missed by all but certainly, never forgotten. We miss her dearly already.

Beverly requested a private Celebration of Life with family and friends which will be held February 20, 2016 at the Woolgrowers Restaurant in Bakersfield, a social hour will begin at 12:00 p.m. and lunch at 1:00 p.m. For additional information please contact Basham Funeral Care at 873-8200.
