Brian Scott Allen

November 8, 1976 — September 23, 2021

Brian Scott Allen was born on November 8th, 1976 in Bakersfield, California to David Allen and Debora Gustin. He was surrounded by his loving family as he passed on September 23, 2021. Living by mottos like, ‘Drive fast, take chances’ and ‘Mess around and find out’, Brian had an outlaw spirt and love for life. He was a ride or die for anyone in his close circle. He'd give the shirt off his back, the last dollar in his pocket, a shoulder to cry on, or an alibi if asked. Brian would have stood beside any of his loved one's to take on the world. He held a special place in his heart for the women in his life and would dance with them at any given time, and did so often, in the kitchen of his home. Brian excelled at running heavy equipment, smoking meat on the Traeger, drinking Jameson, listening really well out of his left ear, eating Tami’s cooking and yelling ‘It’s on the right, ****** ******!’. Brian took his fashion cues from no one. He did clean up from time to time, but his signature everyday look was stained plain white T-shirt, jeans and boots or red vans. He took extreme pride in his three sons Ryan (22), Scott (20) and Ronnie (18) along with his four step kids Ashley (20), Meagan (19), Bryson (15) and Brayden (9). That same pride extended to his numerous nieces and nephews. Brian was the oldest of five siblings. Brothers Nathan, Chris, Craig and sister Kaci. Brian had a heart that was bigger than he was, and the love he showed his family was fierce. If you spent any time around Brian over the last 5 years, you know without a doubt, Tami was the love of his life and referred to her as his “ride or die”. Brian and Tami were set to marry on October 16th, 2021. In true Brian joking fashion, he referred to that date as his funeral. He would appreciate the humor that Tami chose that date to bury him. A public viewing will be held at Basham Funeral Home on October 15, 2021 from 6-8pm. The funeral service will be at 10am on October 16, 2021 at New Life Church, 1300 Jewetta Ave. Bakersfield, CA 93312. Burial will be at Greenlawn Southwest. A reception will follow. Finally, the family asks that in honor of Brian that you raise the “finger” in 75% of the photos taken of you and vote for Trump if the opportunity arises.
