Carolyn Sue Cassianni, 67 years of age, passed on Tuesday, August 18 at her home in Bakersfield, California with her husband John Cassianni and her best friend of more than 50 years, Rosemary Ballew. Carolyn was born on March 30, 1953 in Delano, California to the late Walter Duel Barnes and Effie Jane Anderson. She was the youngest child, with her late half-sister, Mary Lavell Irving, Barnes, Jones. Carolyn was raised in Bakersfield, graduated from Bakersfield High School, and later moved to Lancaster where she studied real estate. She moved on to be a successful realtor for 20 years.
Carolyn was survived by her nephew Richard and his wife Jinah (Gina) Flud, from Bakersfield. Carolyn has a great nephew Alex Oliver Flud from Eugene, OR and great niece Crystal Flud, and a great niece Danelle Flud Higdon. Carolyn has a surviving niece Cindy Flud Abernathy and husband (Big) Michael Abernathy of Shafter. Carolyn's surviving great niece and great nephew are Michaela and Mike Abernathy of Shafter. Carolyn's mother-in-law and father-in- law are the surviving Beverly Cassianni and the late David Cassianni. She also has 4 step-daughters; Angela Lowe, Aleah Cassianni, Trisha Cassianni, and Renee Cassianni-Berg.
Carolyn married John Cassianni in 2003 in Lancaster, Ca witnessed and celebrated by family and friends. Carolyn loved the lord and was a devoted Christian. She was also a lover of animals, and always had one or several furry, cuddly friends to keep her and John company at home.
Carolyn was very giving and supportive, always looking after her family's health and well-being. Her laugh was vibrant and filled the room with joyous energy. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
