Grandma, For years you lived in pain, but put a smile on with grace We said "hold on, be strong" though hurt shown on your face We knew the day would come when we'd have to say goodbye We weren't ready to let you go and we begged you just to try Try to take a sip, take your meds, take just one bite Try to hold on, be strong and don't give up the fight But today you said you were ready, your body had had enough You said to let you go and honestly that was rough My heart was heavy but I understood, you were ready to rest in bliss You'll be forever in our hearts, and you'll be forever missed It hurts I won't hear your laugh or see your beautiful smile But one day we'll meet at heavens gate, life lasts only a short while Until that day, watch over us, guide us from above You filled our lives with happiness, and you filled our hearts with love Grandma, you can rest now, though it's hard we're letting you go You were the best and truly loved, I hope you always know Until we meet again, you'll be in our memories, we love you forever grandma Wawa. This isn't goodbye, save a place up there for us.
