Cathy Marie Lizaso

It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of our sister, niece, cousin and friend, Cathy Marie Lizaso, peacefully and unexpectedly, ready to meet her Lord and Savior, on October 2, 2019.
Cathy was born in Upland, Ca, on June 7,1971. At the age of 10, she was diagnosed with diabetes and due to this, she had a challenging life, but has always been a positive, happy person and loved her family and friends unconditionally. Cathy loved the beach and Lake Tahoe. She had just recently vacationed at the lake and Pismo Beach.Her 4 great loves were Starbucks, movies, concerts and her niece Charlie. This year she had enjoyed Maroon 5 and New Kids on the Block concerts, her two favorite bands.
Cathy graduated from Elk Grove High in 1989 and Cal State Los Angeles as a Computer Graphic Artist. Having undergone an amputation and a Kidney-Pancreas transplant Cathy was no longer able to pursue her career and her days were filled with helping raise her niece Charlie, and watching reruns every day of her favorite TV show Friends.
Cathy was preceded in death by her devoted parents, Eleanor and Jose Lizaso and grandparents Tony and Inez Resendez. Aunts Mary Louise Resendez Reyes, Esther Resendez, Ana Lizaso, Maria Josefa Lizaso, Luis and Dolores Rementegui, Isidro and Maria Luz Lizaso-Astez and uncles Billy J. Spence, Miguel Lizaso and Juanito Lizaso.
She is survived by her only sibling, sister Lisa Marie Lizaso-Beckham (Josh) and their daughter Charlie Bella Beckham. Her aunts Mary Ellen Hernandez (Ismael), Juanita Spence, Asuncion Lizaso-Urgapinetta, Maria Pilar Lizaso Arguintera, Ignacio & Manoli Lizaso-Irrate, Maria Carmen Lizaso-Nunez,Maria Jesus Lizaso-Iturbarua and uncles Joaquin Resendez, Gerald (Arnulfo) Resendez (Ruby), Ignacio Reyes, and Trino Lizaso. Also Guillermo and Johanna Rodriguez and their children in Venezuela.Many loving cousins and friends both in California and Spain.All who will lovingly remember her in their prayers and in their hearts.
Viewing will be on Thursday, October 17 from 5-9PM with rosary recited at 6PM. Mass of the christian burial will be held on Friday, October 18, 10AM at St. Joseph's Church, 1515 Baker St.
