Cheryl Denise Sembach

Cheryl Denise Sembach (née Carr) passed away May 7, 2016 in Bakersfield, CA at the age of 61.



Cheryl is survived by her children, son and daughter-in-law Joe and Cyndee Letzkus, daughter and son-in-law Mary and Ryan Buckles, and daughter Angie Sembach; 11 grandchildren: Kilee, Blake, Trey, Lyndsey, Lily, Colton, Tyler, Cayden, Jonny, Amelia, and Christian; her brother and sister-in-law Jim and Robyn Carr; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her mother and step father Mary and Joseph Decker and her sister Susan Marie Cox.



Cheryl was born on January 27, 1955 in Sacramento, CA. She graduated from Washington High School in 1973. Cheryl began working for Nestle as an ice cream maker in 2009. Over the course of her life Cheryl taught her children love, kindness, and respect. Her children remember her as a kind, patient, and loving mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals. Cheryl was a very driven woman, who did whatever it took to support her children. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother who loved her family and who was passionate about creating great memories.



A funeral is scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday May 14, 2016 at The Bridge Bible Church, with a reception to follow at Joe and Cyndee's home at 9707 Salerosa Ct. Bakersfield, CA 93312. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Cheryl's life. Flowers can be sent to The Bridge Bible Church at 12225 Stockdale Hwy Bakersfield, CA 93314.
