Claire Antonio Forbin, loving and dearest mother entered eternal life on March 3, 2017. Her beautiful spirit ascended to the Lord surrounded by her family at The Heart Hospital after struggling with pneumonia. Claire was born June 13, 1935, in the beautiful city of Arima, Island of Trinidad and Tobago, the daughter of Joseph Stanley Brooks, and Annie Litesia Brooks. Claire Antonio Brooks attended Arima Girls R C School on Church St., Arima, Trinidad and Tobago. She graduated and moved out of her parents' home at the age of 17. She got her Apartment and started life on her own. Claire worked as a clerk while also helping her mother as a Seamstress. She loved hanging out the Town's Savanna with her friends and family. She would eventually meet her husband, Julius Forbin, an upcoming goalie for the International Soccer Team of Trinidad and Tobago. They fell in love and got married. Their lives were blessed with 9 children. Claire was an incredible Homemaker, while her loving husband, Julius Forbin worked as a Fire Officer and eventually was promoted to Secretary of the Fire Services. Claire was married to her one love on December 5, 1954, they shared an exciting and loving life in Trinidad. They moved to New York in 1975 and then to California in 1978 where they settled in Bakersfield California for more than 30 years. Her spirit is carried on by her nine children, 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, extended family of relations and friends from every walk of life. Our mother, our own Mother Theresa always gave us whatever we needed to fulfill our goals. We will forever have everlasting memories of her caring and warm heart. We were blessed to learn so many valuable lessons from our mother during her almost 82 years. Our mother is reunited with her loving husband. May their spirits be together forever.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:00 a.m. on March 17, 2017 at St. Phillip's Catholic Church (711 Stockdale Highway, Bakersfield, CA 93309)
