Clare Marie Carmona

Clare Marie Carmona (Midge) 65, born on August 23rd 1952 in Bakersfield California to Richard and Helen Lomas and went to be with our Lord on July 23, 2018. She is survived by her high school sweetheart and the love of her life for over 50 years Arturo M. Carmona along with her two children Arthur Carmona Jr. (Cheryl) & Denise M. Juarez (Fermin) who never left her side through it all and her five grandchildren Breanna, Arthur, Moses, Eliannah, Aubrey and three great grandchildren Benjamin, Brooklyn and Jayden,whom she loved and adored all so very much. Midge also had four brothers Richard, David, Mark and Joseph Lomas and three sisters Christina Hernandez (Henry), Belen Arredondo (Guadalupe) and Elvira Lomas (Charles) whom were all so very close to her and by her side in her last days along with longtime friend Linda Hobbs and her cousin Phyllis Hernandez and daughter in law Cheryl Carmona whom all had a special place in her heart. Our mom was a certified nursing assistant for over 25 years and had a passion for what she did.That line of work for the care of others followed her for the rest of her life as she would selflessly give of herself constantly, even in her time of physical pain and sickness. Her concern was always for others no matter if they were family or friends. She would always make herself available to help others in need. Our Mother loved family gatherings and yearly camping trips to Carpinteria State Beach. Our Mom will never be forgotten and will greatly missed by everybody who knew her. We would like to truly thank God for the time that we had with our Mother, she was truly an amazing woman. We would also like to thank every brother, sister, cousin, niece, nephew, grandchild and friends for all the love, support, donations, food and drinks. We were truly overwhelmed by you all. It's our prayer that God would bless you in return for blessing our family in this time of need. Also the family would like to extend a big thank you to all the staff at CBCC and the Bakersfield Heart Hospital along with our Mothers personal PA Adelia. Thank all of you guys so very much for all you did, God bless you all. Services will be held July 31, 2018 at Basham Funeral Home on Niles Street from 4 to 5 PM for immediate family. And from 5 to 9 PM for public viewing. The Rosary will begin @ 7:00 PM. The Catholic Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 1 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church on California Avenue at 10 AM with a graveside service to follow immediately at Union Cemetery. Pallbearers: Arthur Carmona Jr, Jesse Soto, Mike Espitia Jr, Mark Lomas Jr, Joseph Lomas Jr and Matthew Silva. Honorary pallbearers: Richard Lomas Sr, David Lomas, Mark Lomas, Guadalupe Arredondo, Henry Hernandez, Fermin Juarez, Richard Aguirre and Moses Juarez.
