Reflections of Life
Craig Paul Jarrow was born on September 18, 1964 to George Jarrow, Sr. and Dorothy M. Jarrow. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. Craig was number nine out of ten siblings. On July 4, 1994, his first love, Paula was born. Craig attended Alcee Fortier High School in New Orleans, Louisiana. After High school he attended Job Corps in Texas and graduated from Culinary Arts School. Craig was a very outgoing person. He loved to go fishing and pushing buttons on the slots at the casino and would get mad when he did not win. With that being said, he had lots of fun. Craig also loved his daughters; Paula, Evelyn, Destiny, Shanyce and his beautiful granddaughter, Kendall. He did his best with his wife (Lavonne) in raising his girls and they grew up to become very smart and good girls. Craig was very serious when it came to family. He believed in his heart that family is supposed to always stick together and forgive one another if needed. Craig was a peace maker. Craig's first dog was a pit bull that he named Ben. Ben was truly his best friend and he loved Ben so much. Craig would say Ben was the only one that would not talk back when things didn't go right for him, he would just look at him and comfort him and not judge him. Craig loved debating with people. If you knew Craig, you knew that firsthand. He could spark up a conversation about anything and make friends with anyone. He had a big heart for people. Craig had a very strong love for his family and would talk about them all the time. Craig was a dresser. He would not go anywhere if his 501's didn't have a hard crease. His shirt and shoes always had to match. Craig loved to dance and listen to the Oldies. He was a great cook. One of his favorite dishes was Gumbo (Louisiana Style). He also loved to BBQ. He would pull out the grill in a heartbeat and que up some ribs, chicken and he would always have hot dogs for his first love, Paula. We must not forget that Craig was a diehard New Orleans Saints fan. He would always say: Who Dat, Who Dat messing with them Saints". The most important part of Craig's life is the love he had for Jesus Christ. He often shared the good news about the Lord to people and shared his testimony on how the Lord saved him in hoping that his testimony would change someone's life for the better. Craig was preceded in death by his Father, George Jarrow, Sr. and Mother Dorothy M. Jarrow; brother, Keith Jarrow and sister, Linda J. Kirk; brother-in-law, Michael Brooks, sister-in-law, Shelita jarrow and Ben. Craig leaves many to share and reflect on his good memories, wife, LaVonne Jarrow; daughters, Paula Hicks, Evelyn Douglas, Destiny Johnson, Shanyce Steward and granddaughter, Kendall Moore; brother, George, Steven and Claude Jarrow, Sr. and brother-in-law Harold Ellis; sister, Elaine T. Ellis, Patricia Jarrow, Sheila Brooks and Debra Jarrow and sister-in-law Wanda Jarrow, and a host of nephews, nieces and great nephews and great nieces. He also leaves behind cousins, aunts, uncles and in-laws as well as other relatives and friends.
