Cruz Rodriguez, 79 passed away peacefully at home. She was born in Dakota, CA and moved to Arvin during childhood. She then resided in Bakersfield for the rest of her life.

Cruz was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She loved God and family unconditionally. She enjoyed family gatherings, picnics and attending church. She was the perfect example of a homemaker. She blessed family and home with a giving spirit. God was the strength of her life during the many obstacles of illness.

Cruz was preceded by her beloved husband of 57 years, Ray Rodriguez, survived by daughters, Lori and Jesse Leal, Lisa Rodriguez, Jim Shubin, 5 Leal grandchildren preceded by granddaughter Nancy Leal. She was survived by siblings Paula, Arthur, Lupe, Rita, Alma, Mary, preceded by Dolores, Angel, Carmen, Eleanor, Grace, and Nancy, also preceded by Virginia and John. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Hillcrest SDA Church.
