Cy Ebersberger, age 86, of Ridgecrest, CA passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 in Ridgecrest, CA. Cy was born in Oshkosh, WI on October 22, 1929, the son of John Ebersberger Sr. and Martha (Golomb) Ebersberger. He graduated from Oshkosh Senior High School and went on to serve our Country in the U.S. Air Force.



Upon return he joined the Seabee Reserve. Cy worked ten years for the Railroad, first for the Chicago Northwestern, and later the Trona Railroad as a telegraph operator. During that time he attended college part time earning his AA Degree. He then went to work at the Naval Ordnance Test Station at China Lake as a sheet metal worker. A year later he went to work in command administration department as an administrative officer.



Cy was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Ridgecrest. He was a member of the Knight of Columbus serving as Grand Knight and as a District Deputy. Cy was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. He loved fishing, hunting and feeding the birds at his home, being with his Seabee friends, most of all being with his grand and great grandchildren.



Survivors include his wife Shirley of fifty-nine years of marriage; two daughters, Joan Prince and Carol Zagala; four grandchildren, Kari Quail, Amanda Buchan, David Prince and Ashley Wood; seven great grandchildren, Dayve and Cy Prince, Jeric and Jaidynn Quail, Nicholas and Katrina Rollins, and Brayden Wood. He is also survived by one sister, Florence Brickham of Oshkosh, WI. Cy was preceded in death by his parents and 10 brothers and sisters and a son, Neal Ebersberger.



Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Holland and Lyons Mortuary (216 S. Norma St. Ridgecrest, CA 93555) from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at St. Ann Catholic Church (446 W. Church Ave.) at 10:00 a.m. A Graveside Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Bakersfield National Cemetery (30338 E. Bear Mountain Blvd Arvin, CA 93203).
