Daniel Marquez

On the eve of January 28, 2021 Daniel "Danny" Marquez, 39, passed away at Mercy Hospital. His departure was sudden and unexpected, as he succumbed to illness related to COVID-19. Danny was born and raised in Bakersfield, California and was a Foothill High School Alumni. He had a passion for sports, most importantly his #1 teamThe New Orleans Saints. He was a familiar face in the community, as he spent his life readily giving to those less fortunate. He did not shy from those that needed a blanket or a hot meal. In his life, he learned many trades, and was skilled at pool tiling. Most recently, he had worked hard to establish himself with Advanced Beverage and shared his pride of contribution to the company. Danny was a selfless person and had a heart and passion for helping others. He is remembered by many as someone they could depend on for a helping hand, or sound advice. He was a big brother and father figure for those that needed him. His laugh was contagious, and his love will be eternal. Danny is survived by his three children Maleya, Daniel, and Jacob Marquez, partner Monique Farias, mother and father Lenora Garcia and Daniel Marquez, his sister Amber Garcia and brother-in-law Toby Salazar and his nephew Toby Sebastian Salazar as well numerous aunts, uncles and cousins that loved him, dearly.
