June 25, 1938, to Feb. 6, 2018David passed from this world on Feb. 6, 2018 at 2:30 pm. His honesty and wit will be greatly missed by many. He was born in Bradford, Pa. to Nolan F. Canfield and Ruth Marie (nee Cosper) Canfield, both deceased. His stepmother was Lillian (nee Reed ) Canfield, also deceased.. David was married to Barbara Canfield for 30 years. Although they were divorced, they remained close. They had three children, Earl Canfield, Edward Canfield (wife, Wendy) and Andrea Canfield (husband, John Bodenschatz). He will be especially missed by his sister Kathryn Shay of Portville, NY and her daughter, Barbara Shay, whose visits and nightly phone calls were appreciated. David also has sisters Sandra Canfield (deceased), Lynette Palmeri (of Jamestown, NY), Judy White, and Nola Snyder (of Smethport, Pa). He will also be missed by numerous nieces and nephews and grandchildren.Special thanks to Earl Canfield who gave much and worked tirelessly 24 hours a day for the last many months caring for David. Also, thank you to the many healthcare workers from Optimal Hospice that were so kind and helpful.
