David Wayne Webb

David Wayne Webb, age 63, passed away on February 16, 2021 in Santa Maria, California. He was born on November 8, 1957, in Pampa, Texas, to Stanley and June Webb.

David lived in Pampa, Texas, until age 6, and later moved to Chetopa, Kansas, before moving to Bakersfield, California in 1967. Upon moving, his mother looked for an Apostolic church; they became a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Bakersfield. David was actively involved in the ministry starting at the age of 15. It was also at that time that he started his first job working for Leon Frost at Martin's Meat Market. He was a proud graduate of Bethel Apostolic Academy, graduating in 1975 as part of the second graduating class. After high school, he attended Texas Bible College.

David received his ministerial license in 1981 from the United Pentecostal Church International. In 2015, he became an ordained minister with the Worldwide Pentecostal Fellowship. He served in many capacities in the ministry, including evangelizing and ministering in the Bakersfield church as Youth Pastor and Assistant Pastor. In December 2002, he was called to the Central Coast, where he served as Pastor in Paso Robles, and most recently as Pastor in Santa Maria. There was nothing he loved more than being in church with his church family.

David married Martha Condren in June 1976, in Bakersfield, California. They were happily married for 44 years. They have two children, David "Landon" Webb, and Mandi Mercer. David had many hobbies and interests, including reading, fishing, barbecuing, and woodworking, but more than anything, he loved being with his family.

David is survived by his spouse Martha of Santa Maria, CA; his son, David "Landon" Webb and wife Carol; his daughter Mandi Mercer and husband Jeff; his grandchildren: Madelyn Mercer, Rylan Mercer, Dylan Mercer, Landon Webb, Abigail Webb, Logan Mercer, and Wynston Mercer; his bonus grandchildren: Zack Salyards, Nic Salyards and wife Kristina, Cayla Barnard and husband Chad, and their children Hunter and Harper; his brothers: Murlin Webb and wife Tina of New Mexico, and Jerry Webb and wife Evelyn of Texas; his bonus "Mom" Doris Williams; and his many nieces and nephews, as well as numerous loving family and dear friends. David was preceded in death by his parents Stanley and June Webb and his brother James Webb.

A funeral service will be at Greater Bakersfield First Pentecostal Church, 1418 W. Columbus Avenue, Bakersfield, California 93301 on February 25, 2021, at 11:00 am. Burial will follow the funeral at Hillcrest Cemetery.
