Dennice Darcelle Torres was born September 10, 1973, in Bakersfield California, to Robert and Betty Pendleton. Dennice had six sisters; Pamela Pendelton, Cynthia Pendleton, Gwendolyn Felton, Vickie Patridge, Barbara King, and Cathy Pendleton, and three brothers; Robert Pendleton Jr., Johnny Pendleton, and Dana Glen Minter. She also had numerous nephews and nieces whom she loved. Dennice attended Castro Lane Elementary, Wayside,Curran Jr. High, Bakersfield , South and West High Schools in Bakersfield, Ca. At the age of 21 she married Michael Torres, and together had two daughters, La'Reecia Shanice Torres, Aubreanna Simone Torres, and one son, Emmanuel Jahden Torres. She proceeded to raise her children as a single mother for 20 years and instilled Gods word in their hearts. Dennice received the Holy Ghost at the age of 27, and then was baptized in Jesus name April 1, 2001. Dennice became the children's choir director, while attending Bible Truth Ministries, a siiser churh to GBFPC.. When Dennice started attending G.B.F.P.C., she continued doing the Lords work in Sunday School as the fifth and sixth grade teacher. Her life was dedicated to teaching and preparing for Sunday School for 16 years, impacting the lives of many children. Dennice was a member of the adult and Spanish choirs. She had a deep passion for singing and praising our Lord through music. She enjoyed being involved in everything she could surrounding the church. Dennice loved to praise and worship God through good times and bad times. She was devoted to God, family, and church. As an adult, Dennice attended University of Phoenix for business management, UEI to be certified as a dental assistant, and Bakersfield College to become a daycare provider. Dennice worked for Bethel Kiddie Coral for seven plus years. Her last full time occupation was her own in-home daycare where she taught, loved, and nurtured ten children she saw as her own. On November 4, 2017,God called Sister Dennice home. Although the family will miss her tremendously, they find great peace knowing she has finished this race and will be dancing on the streets of gold.
