January 19, 1995 – March 16, 2025 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Desiree Paula Noelle Mooney, who left us alongside her husband, Max Mooney, on March 16, 2025, both at the age of 30. Beloved by all, Desiree’s life, though brief, was filled with love and laughter. Growing up in Bakersfield, Desiree was known for her fiery personality and radiant smile. Her friends and family remember her as someone who always told it like it is, with a heart full of love and loyalty. These traits connected her to many, making her a person no one wanted to ever be without. In 2024, Desiree and Max returned to Bakersfield with dreams of purchasing a home and starting a family. Desiree had a true passion for styling and fashion, and her family and friends always looked to her for outfit inspiration. Her keen eye for fashion was just one of the many ways she brightened the lives of those around her. Beyond her human connections, Desiree loved animals and shared a special bond with her beloved cat, Trixie. Trixie will forever be remembered as Desiree's "babygirl." Desiree is survived by her loving family: her mother, Cynthia Garcia; her father, John Vigil; her siblings, Danielle, Jesse, Erica, and Isaiah; her grandmother, Paula Silva; her nephew Benjamin; and her niece Emilie. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Tomas Pizana, and Pete and Hope Vigil. Desiree’s legacy is one of love, laughter, loyalty, and authenticity. As we gather to remember her, let us celebrate the beautiful impact she had on our lives, cherishing the memories and love she shared with us all.
