Dolores Ortiz Apodaca August 28, 1955 - December 23, 2020

Dolores Ortiz Apodaca, 65, passed away at her home peacefully surrounded by her family on December 23, 2020.

Dolores was born on August 28, 1955 in Bakersfield, Ca. She graduated from East Bakersfield High. She worked at Lortz & Son Mfg Co for many years before her illness of Scleroderma forced her to retire. She was also a member of the Scleroderma Foundation. She was an active mother and grandmother. She would always attend and support her grandchildren's school and sporting events. She was their biggest fan. She loved to cook, bake and pass down what special ingredients she put in some of her famous dishes. Despite her severe illness, she always put family first. She would do anything for her family. Dolores is preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Grace Ortiz, siblings Jennie O Garcia, Danny Ortiz and Mike Ortiz. She is survived by her siblings Carmen Suniga (Norman), Margaret Garcia (Pete), Ray Ortiz Jr. (Mary), Mary Gutierrez (Joel), Anita Ortiz (Paulette) and Johnny Ortiz (Sarah). She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Arthur Louis Apodaca. Her children Gabriel Lopez (Luz), Misty Lopez Macedo (Daniel) and Aaron Apodaca (Laura). Her Grandchildren Leah Sanchez (Jorge), Rene Evaro, Robert Fajardo, Andrew Fajardo, Isiah Fajardo, Khloe Macedo, Anthony Lopez, Eric Lopez, Ryen Lopez, Eliana Lopez and Eliana Morelos. Her Great Grandchildren Elijah Valdez & Noah Sanchez. Her God children Timothy Monsibias and Samantha Ortiz.

Her love and strength will be a symbol and light of hope to her family that we will endure forever.

Mass services will be held on Saturday January 2, 2021 at 11 am, at St. Francis Church 900 H. St, with Graveside service to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery 3700 River Blvd.
