Dolores was born and raised in Bakersfield, Ca. She attended Our Lady of Guadalupe School from Kindergarten through 6th grade. She was a very proud alumna of South High School Class of 1969.
Throughout her years of employment, she worked for MAOF, Senator Walter W. Stiern, Bakersfield College and since 1987 she has been an employee of South High School.
Dolores is survived by her fiance James Perez, daughters Calli Macias (Joe), Leslie Zapata (Francisco), Stephanie Padilla (Pablo Aguirre), her sister Patricia Vryhoff (Dwayne), grandchildren Gianna, Joey, Ariel, Alexandria, Calli, Jacob, Jason, Joel, Matthew and Nathan.
She is preceded in death by her parents Piedad "Pat" and Salvador "Quate" Munoz, her brother Thomas R. Munoz and most of all her beloved son Anthony "Phillip" Padilla.
Our mother was admired by many for her kind heart, her smile, her loyalty, and her faith. We looked up to our mother for her strength, hardwork, and passion for the Lord. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, visits by her grandchildren, and movie nights with her fiance James Perez and chihuahua Charlie.
Even though our hearts are broken, her heart is now whole as she is reunited with her beloved son, our brother, Anthony "Phillip" Padilla.
Service will be held Thursday, June 2nd, 11a.m., at Basham Funeral Care, 3312 Niles St. burial immediately following at Historic Union Cemetery, 730 Potomac Avenue.
