Dorothy moved to Shafter in 1981 and later on down the line met her husband Nicolas Murillo in 1984 … and started their family in 1988.
Dorothy was so full of life, always wanting to be with and around her entire family but with her illness sadly during 2020 it wouldn’t permit it anymore.
She was honestly the one person everyone wanted to be around. She was the most loving, funny, selfless and giving mom, daughter, sister, auntie and friend anyone could ask for. If you went to visit Dorothy, you wouldn’t go hungry or leave her home empty handed and your kids would have played a few board games with her (she had the best ones) before heading home.
Growing up she was known to be so beautiful just like her singing voice. She was goofy at times, always had a good joke to tell or as she would say “capping”!
If you wanted honestly, she was the person to go to. Dorothy had the best massages and hugs when it came to anyone feeling down. She always knew how to make things better.
Dorothy loved a good scary movie, a couple of duds, most definitely loved her some Charlie Brown special's and a late-night bowl of cereal.
She enjoyed making sure her siblings had what they needed or wanted even if that meant to send them home with a roll of toilet paper, some sort of body lotion or even a gift that someone else got her lol.
Her priority were her children, their happiness came first.
Her laugh was contagious as was her smile.
I can go on about who she was for everyone but there wouldn’t be enough space in this world for it.
Our family was blessed to have such a beautiful soul for 61 years. She is and will always be missed.
