Dorothy Jean Pratt passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2020 in Bakersfield, California at the sweet age of 69. She was born on January 27, 1951 in Bakersfield, California the only daughter to Lessie Henderson Sr. and Lueran Jones-Henderson. Dorothy attended Casa Loma Elementary, Golden State Junior High School, graduate from East Bakersfield High School and attended Bakersfield College in her later years.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her father Lessie Henderson, Sr. mother Lueran Henderson, four brothers Bennie Fred Blackmon, Lee Arthur Blackmon, Albert Blackmon, Lamar "Rico" Henderson and her husband of 39 years Charles "CP" Pratt.
Dorothy leaves and cherish three sons, Nathaniel Endsley (Laconda) of Fresno, Texas, Brian Pratt(Terri K) of Las Vegas, Nevada and Charles "Chuckie" Pratt, Jr. (Allyson) of Bakersfield, California. One daughter, ShaMekka Ludd (Jermaine) of Bakersfield, California. Two brothers, Lessie Henderson, Jr. and Milton Henderson (Avis) of Bakersfield, California. One brother-in-law Hommer Pratt (Sandra) of Bakersfield, California. Six sister-in-laws, Jeannie Henderson, Dorothy Ree, Fannie Carrigan (Lindsey), Daisy Atkinson, Martha Anderson and Elizabeth Williams (Dennis) all of Bakersfield, California. Dorothy has seven grandsons, six granddaughters and 10 great grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces and special cousins. She will truly be missed.
