Elversie Montisha Bailey Clayton

Elversie Montisha Bailey-Clayton was born to Frank Bailey and Diane Allen on April 28, 1982 in Bakersfield, CA.

As a young child Elversie attended the local schools and graduated a year early from Vista High School. After high school she attended Bakersfield College and earned a AA degree in child development. Elversie was United in Holy Matrimony in 2010 to Gary Clayton. She also received her cosmetology license from Milan Institute. She was employed by the Department of Human Services as an eligibility technician. 

Elversie truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures,  taking family trips, playing pity pat and her favorite saying (where yall quarters at). She loved doing hair and baking also. Who didn't love her banana pudding.

Elversie is preceded in death by her parents, Frank Bailey and Diane Allen; as well as her brother, Falonte Bailey; grandmothers, Elversie McKnight and Ada Bailey; Aunts, Betty and Clariece McKnight, Irene Edwards, Patricia Sherard, and Uncle Leroy McKnight.

Elversie leaves to cherish her fond memories, her husband, Gary Clayton of Bakersfield, CA two daughters, Constance Woolfolk and Garyana Clayton of Bakersfield, CA; one son, Garyonte Clayton of Bakersfield, CA; one sister, Chandra Allen of Bakersfield, CA; two brothers, Johnte Allen (Amanda) of Bakersfield, CA and Raymond Allen (Tonada) of Honolulu, Hawaii; her stepfather, Raymond Allen of Los Angeles, CA and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins,  and friends. 

Elversie was loved by many and will truly be missed
