Ema Vasquez was born October 31, 1964 in Bakersfield, Ca. She was surrounded by friends and family when she lost her battle to cancer on April 4, 2017.
She attended Mt Vernon Elementary, Sierra Jr. High, and Foothill High High School thru 1982.We will always remember Ema as a strong, unstoppable, meticulously organized woman with a great work ethic. Ema spent many years working as a master floral designer locally. She got her start at Apropos and later worked at Cinderella flowers and Mt. Vernon florists. Her beautiful work and creativity touched many on some of their most special days of their lives. She also had a great love for dogs! She always had one, or a few faithful companion by her side. Her most recent fur baby Asia is now in a loving home with her niece Tiffany Simpson and family.
She is preceded in death by her Husband Elizer Vasquez, Mother Belen Carreon, and Father Jimmy Mendoza.
She is survived by her children Sirena Robles, and husband Reynardo, Son Julian Vasquez. Grandchildren-Anthony, Anyssa, Kesi and Mylie;Siblings, Pedro Villalobos and Wife Irene, Refugio Villalobos and Wife Louise, Lidia Gama and Husband Jose, Rosie Murillo and Husband Rick, and Irene Carreon, all of Bakersfield, Ca., and Twin Sister, Amelia Lambert and Husband Patrick of Fort Worth, Texas; and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Friends.
A special thank you to Optimal Hospice, and most importantly to her children Julian and Sirena, Cousin Virginia Rivera, Sister Lidia Gama, Niece Tiffany Simpson, Brother Pedro, Sister-in-law Irene and Niece Christina Villalobos for their time and special care given. And to all the friends and family who visited her and brought her encouragement.
