Emery William Hathaway

Emery "Bill" Hathaway Graveside services will be held Friday, March 31 at Hillcrest Memorial Park at 2:30 pm for Bill Hathaway who passed away at home on March 26, 2017. Bill was born May 4, 1938 in East Los Angeles, California. He served in the U.S. Navy from October 18 1955 until October 2 1957 as Air Craft Engine Mechanic. Bill worked for P.G. & E. for a number of years followed by the Kern Water Agency. He had a love for the beach, especially Pismo Beach where he traveled with his sand toys every chance he got with family and friends. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Hathaway and Gwen Wright; and is survived by his wife of 60 years, Beverly Hathaway; son and daughter in-law, Daryl and Delana Hathaway; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Ruben Contreras; grandchildren, JD Hathaway, Erin Moomaw, Brandon Contreras, Daniel Hathaway, Jennifer McNatt; sister Anne Morehead; brother David Hathaway; and five great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
