Estela joined her life partner, Manuel Padilla Negrete on April 2nd peacefully while at home after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis. She is survived and loved by her daughters Rosa, Estela, Elizabeth, Maria and Edith. Son-in Laws: Mario, Andrew, Robert and Corey. Grandchildren: Steven Jr., Javier, Diana, Christian, Kimberly, Brandon, Adrian and Natalie. Great-grandchildren: Maverick and Dametro. Siblings: Guadalupe, Consuelo, and Angelita. As well as countless step-siblings, nephews, nieces and other relatives. She was proceeded in death by her parents: Edmundo and Narzisa Nunez-Reyes; as well as her bother Concepcion "Chon" Reyes.
Estela came to know the Lord later in life and was saved and baptized in 2015 at Riverlakes Community Church; but was a current member of Liberty Christian Center. She worked in the fields while raising her family; as well packing for Bolthouse Farms and Triple H Processing before retiring due to health issues. She enjoyed crochet, knitting, cooking and baking during her spare time; knitting for her grandchildren and baking elaborate wedding & birthday cakes for friends and family. Her tamales were sought after during the holiday season. She loved her morning coffee from Starbucks, she became a "regular" and well known by the staff. Estela enjoyed a lot of things, but most of all she loved to enjoy her growing family.
A private service for Estela Padilla Nunez will be held Thursday, April 9, 2020; followed by graveyard service at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
