Ethel Gladine Newton

Ethel Gladine Newton, 89, passed from this earth on Monday February 7, 2022 with family by her side.

Gladine was born May 10, 1932 in Bryan County, Oklahoma, to Lula Sylvinia and Oscar Virgil Pace.  She had 4 siblings, who have preceded her in death, as well as, her husband James Newton, daughters Nita Hines, Wanda Newton and grandson Christopher Fraze.  She is survived by her children, Cynthia and Ricky Franklin, Sandra and Ronnie Davidson, James and Latonia Newton, Michael and Karen Newton, Gaylene and Eric Tritch, Norma and Dewayne Wilson, and Rita and David McGill, as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and untold friends.

Gladine was strong, gentle, completely selfless, and a little feisty.  Her sacrifices were many, her family and her God were the most important things in her life.  She will be remembered by so many for her faith, prayers and Godly example of love and kindness.  She was an avid reader, puzzler, and scrabble Queen, you didn't dare challenge her word!
