EVERETT RAY DE GOUGH January 14, 1943, July 22, 2018 Everett passed away on July 22, 2018, in Bakersfield, California, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Bakersfield, CA, and lived in Arvin, CA for 8 years before living the remainder of his life in Bakersfield. He attended Arvin Elementary School, Edison Elementary School, and East Bakersfield High School, where he graduated in 1960. After graduation, he joined the Marine Corps,and upon his honorable discharge, he worked for Southern Pacific Railroad. He then worked for the Kern County Fire Department for 30 yrs. and retired in 2001 as an Engineer. Everett enjoyed the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish with his family and buddies. He loved spending time at the cabin in Shirley Meadows,traveling with friends to Baja for fishing trips, boating, and fishing at Lake Isabella, and anywhere else he could drop his fishing line. He loved having family get-togethers and was a very generous and hospitable man. He was a member of the Planz Rd. Church of Christ He was preceded in death by his father Carl (Snooks), mother Leslie (Pat) DeGough. He is survived by his loving wife Judy, son Allen, and Papa to Dyllan and Tristan, stepdaughter, Hope Long. Numerous grand and great-grandchildren; brothers. Wayne and Richard DeGough, sister, Gail Brewer. Also, a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at Basham Funeral Care, 3312 Niles St. at 10:00 Monday, July 30, with burial following at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Veteran's Section, 9101 Kern Canyon Rd, Bakersfield, CA.
