Faye Louise Maples
January 29, 1935 - December 16, 2019
We are here today to celebrate the life of Faye Louise Maples.
Born to Jewell and Mildred Mays, January 29, 1935 in Durant, Oklahoma. Passed away December 16, 2019 in Bakersfield, California. Faye was the second child of 4 children.
In her early teens the family moved from Oklahoma to Lamont, California, where she met the love of her life, Billy Joe Maples (The real bad boy of the times). They were happily married, July 28, 1952. Together, they built a life full of memories and dreams on Lucky Street, where they lived for over 50 years.
Faye is survived by her sister, Hazel Smithson; 3 children, Carol, David, Betty and son-in-law, Roger, 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She enjoyed making school clothes along with doll accessories for the girls, crafts of any kind along with cooking, best fried chicken anywhere!
Her life revolved around family; she made everyone feel special in her own way. The thing she love most was playing with her grandchildren. There are not many of us here today tha have not gone to Faye for help, guidance or advise and with that she was always there to lead us, guide us and say exactly what we needed to hear without judgement.
She will be love and missed by all whose lives she touched.
