Fred Alvin Cruse

December 31, 1931 — August 28, 2019

Fred Alvin Cruse moved to Heaven on August 28th, 2019 at the age of 87. Fred was born in Tillman, Co., Oklahoma on December 31st, 1931. For 67 years, Fred was married to the love of his life, Wanda June Floyd Cruse. They met in the fourth grade and got married on December 18th, 1951.

Fred and June were blessed with four children; Belinda Cruse Cordero (Deceased), James Cruse (Deceased), Virgil (Lisa) Cruse of Bakersfield, CA., and Thomas (Wynona) of Belleville, IL.

Fred was an awesome "Grandpa"/ "Tata" to seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

The Korean war was going on when Fred joined the Navy and he served aboard the U.S.S. George D.E. 697. After the Navy, Fred attended Southern California College, AKA Vanguard University, and graduated with a B.A in Religious Education. Fred was an ordained Assemblies of God Minister for 52 years. Listening to the call of God on their lives, Fred and June became industrial home missionaries for The Assemblies of God to American Indians in Parker, AZ, Rincon, CA. They also ministered to the Eskimos in Point Hope, AK.

Upon returning from Alaska, Fred was asked to oversea the restoration of Benedict Castle in Riverside, CA. Benedict Castle is no home to Teen Challenge. Fred's knowledge and talent in the construction field helped him restore Benedict Castle.

Fred pastored at Lompoc, CA Assemblies of God, Winterhaven, CA Assemblies of God , Arvin, CA, Church of God, and Lamont, CA. Assemblies of God. Fred was very involved in Royal Rangers at the churches that he pastored at. Fred returned to Southern California College, but not as a student. He returned as the grounds engineer for five years.

Fred wore many hates in his lifetime; son, brother, husband, father, minister, grandfather/Tata, "fixer of anything" and a friend to all. Out of all the hats he wore, the best hat that he is wearing, is when he is standing next to his Heavenly Father.

Fred, You will be greatly missed.
