George Alvarez Miranda

George Miranda was born in Tulare, California to Severo and Josephina Miranda in the time of the great depression. George came from humble beginnings from traveling throughout California looking for work in agriculture to finally settling in Lamont, California. While traveling he met the love of his life Virginia to whom he was married for 60 years and raised a family of 3 children. George was employed by J.G. Boswell for 30 years as a heavy equipment operator and retired in 1986. From childhood to death George could be found beside his best friend and brother Chevy , they were always together and now they can travel eternity together. George is preceded in death by his son Gary Miranda, son George Miranda, daughter Debra Perez and great granddaughter Arianna Sarabia they will also be with George in paradise. George leaves behind his wonderful wife of 60 years Virginia Miranda. Children including his son and family Jerry, Julie Miranda and granddaughter Stephanie Ruiz McNinch, grandsons Jerry Alexander Miranda and Daniel Armando Miranda. Daughter Rebecca and Dario Espinoza, grandson Dario Raymundo Espinoza, granddaughters Athena Espinoza Felix and Darian Espinoza. Daughter Gloria and Ralph Alvarez, granddaughters Sophia Apodaca, Yvette Cason, Yvonne Beuster, Ralph Alvarez III. George also leaves behind many great grandchildren and one angel on the way. Dad there is now a void in our lives that can only be filled by the love of God and the knowledge that we will see you again one day. We LOVE you and we'll miss you. Pallbearers will be Jerry Miranda, Jerry A Miranda, Daniel Miranda, Chevy Miranda, Eligio Soto, Sergio Sarabia. Honorary pallbearers Dario Espinoza and Dario Raymundo Espinoza, Louie Miranda. Viewing will be held Monday June 6th at Basham Lamont Funeral Care 8601 Hall Road, Lamont, CA. 93241 at 4pm-5pm for family 5pm-9pm for public with Rosary at 7pm. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday June 7th at St. Augustine Church 10601 Myrtle Ave, Lamont, CA. 93241. Burial Wednesday June 8th at Arvin Cemetery 15543 S. Vineland Rd. at 10am next to our brother .
