George Hutson "Hut" Watkins was born to Fred and Louise Watkins on 6/22/1926 in Mercy Hospital. He lived in Bakersfield all of his life, except for 3 years in the Navy. He was an Automotive Machinist for Ralph's Piston Ring Service and later for Southern Auto Supply until his retirement. He leaves behind his wife, Lola of 66 years, 2 daughters; Sandra Louise Nelms of Dallas, Texas and Denise Faye Drake of Hilo, Hawaii, 5 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will begin at Basham Funeral Care, April 2, 2018, Viewing at 10:00 a.m. and Services begin at 11:00 a.m. and Graveside Service will be at 1:15 p.m. at Bakersfield National Cemetery.
