Griselda Garcia

Griselda Garcia, 46, passed from this life into the loving arms of our Lord on January 18, 2024. Griselda was born in Colima, Mexico and grew up in Buttonwillow, California. She graduated from Shafter High School. 

Griselda always made time for everyone. She always provided support and love for her family and friends. She had many jobs and was a caregiver for many, including her father Manuel during his final years of life. Griselda was the best Tía and also helped care for all her nieces and nephews (Lauryn, Seth, Symantha, Jorge, AJ, Julia and Andrea). But Griselda’s most important job came February 1, 2013 when her only daughter Daisy was born. From that day forward she was the most loving and devoted mother; she spent every day caring for and adoring her daughter Daisy. She enjoyed watching Daisy play and grow, family gatherings, and going on outings and road-trips with her spouse Manuel and Daisy, they always included her mother Rosa. 

Griselda was so deeply loved, her family is heartbroken and will grieve her loss forever. 

Griselda is survived by her spouse Manuel Pio Jimenez; her daughter Daisy Milagros Jimenez; mother Rosa De La Rosa; brothers Robert (Kelly), Alex (Veronika), Manuel (Alma) sister Maria (Jorge) and all her nieces and nephews. 

Griselda was preceded in death by her father Manuel De La Rosa, grandfather Silviano Garcia, and grandmother Julia Garcia. 

Griselda never wanted to be the center of attention, so the viewing will be private with immediate family and close friends only. 

Funeral services will begin with Holy Mass on Friday January 26, 2024 at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Buttonwillow, CA.
