Guadalupe Benavides

July 11, 1960 — February 16, 2019

Born in Bakersfield, California to parents, Guadalupe Benavides and Natalia Gonzales. He went to Bakersfield High School. He is preceded in death by his mother Natalia; brothers, Ron, Richard, Fernando and Frank; sister, Patricia; nephew, Gordo; sister in law, Virgie; son in law, Santos Ruiz.

Survived by his wife, Cathy; children, Angela, Nathan, Joseph and Adam; nephew, Michael (Alicia); grandchildren, Abel, Richie, Manuel, Maxx, AJ, Nathan, Gwen and Mya. He is also survived by 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Lupe was a very big-hearted man. He loved Cathy and his kids dearly. Something he probably loved most was being a P. PA to all his crazy grand kids. He would spend time with them outside and show them crazy things to get into. He had a passion for cars; doing body work and painting. He enjoyed painting houses with long time friend Pasqual Tapia. He also thought he could fix anything, and he sure would try.

He's always been known to be the crazy wild Lup by many. He would want to hug and tell you he loved you every 5 minutes or do something to make you laugh.

He will be missed dearly by his family and many friends. The family would like to thank everyone who participated in assisting with laying our loved one to rest.
