Harold Dean Black, Jr. September 4, 1975 - July 3, 2016
Harold Dean Black, Jr., unexpectedly passed away on July 3, 2016. Harold was born on September 4, 1975, in Bakersfield, to Harold and Linda Black. He was raised and lived most of his life in Lamont. He attended school in Lamont and Arvin High School where he made many friends. Harold enjoyed fishing, camping, competitive card games and hanging out with his sons Noah and Isaac. He also enjoyed watching boxing matches with his family and occasional trips to the casinos. He was an avid reader with a large library of all types of books from adventures to biographies. Harold was most happy spending time with his sons and family. Harold will be remembered for his kind heart, generous nature, and strong faith. He was much loved by his family and will be greatly missed. Harold was preceded in death by his grandparents, Manuel and Lillian Black, and Lester and Allene Simpson. He is survived by his parents, Harold and Linda Black, sons Noah Black and Isaac Ziehler, their mother Sylvia Ziehler; sisters Christa Lacertoso and her husband Rocky, Deana Morales and her husband Cesar, niece Tristan Morales, nephew Adam Morales, great niece Addison Anaya, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, from 5:00 pm. to 8:00 pm., at Basham Funeral Care, 3312 Niles Street. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2016, at 10:00 am., at Coronado Baptist Church, 516 Norris Road. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Mortuary, 9101 Kern Canyon Road.
