Hazel Townson Bishop Miller went on October 6, 2019 in Bakersfield, California. Hazel was born November 7, 1941 in Bakersfield, California to William and Edna Townson.
Hazel grew up in Lamont and attended school at Mountain View Elementary and Arvin High School.
Hazel married Prentice "Doc" Bishop in 1958. They were married 16yrs and had 3 children; Charlene, Michael and Robert.
In 1976 she married GP Miller. They took over her father's business, Greenfield UPH in 1976. They were married for 16 years.
Hazel took over Del Kern Sales in 1979 and ran the business for 30 years until she retired in 2009. She was devoted to her business. She also enjoyed going to the Cabin and to her Beach House. Her Grandchildren were her world. She enjoyed yard selling and had quite the collection of antiques.
Hazel is survived by her 3 children, Charlene Holder, Michael Bishop and Robert Bishop of Bakersfield; brothers, Dorse Townson of Louisiana and George Townson of Susanville, California; sister Virginia Clark of Bakersfield; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
A visitation will be held Friday, October 18, 2019 at Basham Funeral Care (3312 Niles St.) from 5-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Saturday October 19, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Basham Funeral Care.
