Heather Dawn Rush, 32, of Bakersfield, California went to heaven to be with Jesus on June 14, 2020. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ronnie and Julie Rush, her beloved great-grandmother Vivian Flick, her grandma Debbie Duncan, and Uncle David Dowdy. She is survived by her son Mason Rush; sisters Raechel Rush and Ashley Bull, grandmother Karen Flick, Grandpa David Duncan; Aunt Kathy Flick; Aunt Toni Dowdy, and many cousins and close friends.
Heather was born in Bakersfield on July 29, 1987. She was passionate about law and obtained her BA in Law & Society from Penn State to follow her dreams of being a lawyer. She loved to play tennis, watch classic movies, say inside jokes, and listen to country music. Her sense of humor was second to none. She was known for her quick wit and funny jokes. Many things in this life brought her joy, but none more than her son, Mason. He was the light of her life. She was always proud to tell of his accomplishments and goals. Being his mom was what made her the happiest.
Our hearts are broken, as life without her will never be complete- but we take comfort in knowing she is with Jesus and her loved ones that left this earth before her.
"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal."
