Holly Marie Chavez, born 05/06/1949, loving wife, Momma, and Nana, passed away on 02/25/18 in Bakersfield at the age of 68. She was married to the love of her life, Mark, for 43 years.

Holly was a joyful, compassionate, playful and artistic individual. She began ballet classes at age 5 and she danced into her early 20s. She was a talented singer, who participated in numerous local shows. She met Mark during a production of Jesus Christ Superstar and they wrote their own story from there.

She was a fierce protector and loving presence in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She had numerous hobbies and interests but the most important was cooking, at which she excelled.

Holly was predeceased by her parents, Lyle and Hope Smith and her sister, Sandra Lee Nielsen. She is survived by husband Mark, children, Jonathan Davis (Deven), Alyssa Davis (Teddy), Mark Chavez II (Kim) and Amanda Chavez. Grandchildren, Nathan Davis, Grey Davis Gutierrez, Mark Chavez Ill, Max Brooks, Pirate Davis, Zeppelin Davis and Aurora Grisham. She has cast aside all illness and disability and is ecstatic to be reunited with her cherished loved ones. At Holly's request, there will be no services.
