Ignacio Martinez April 27, 1954 - September 5, 2020 Ignacio Martinez, Jr., 66, passed away on September 5, 2020 at Mercy Southwest Hospital in Bakersfield, California. He was born on April 27, 1954 in Aguascalientes, Mexico to Ignacio and Alicia Martinez. Ignacio grew up in Aguascalientes, Mexico. He moved to Wasco the age of 17. He worked for Blomhoff as a supervisor for 30 years. After that he worked for Wayne Johnson for 2 years and then he started working for Martinez Trucking. Ignacio married Maria in 1977 in Delano, California. They were happily married for 43 years. Ignacio is survived by his wife, Maria, of Wasco; his children Nacho (Beckie), Robert (Karina), Francisco (Emily), Narciso, Carolina, Arely, Angie, Gabby and Terry; sisters, Juanita and Lourdes; brother, Felipe; grandchildren, Michael, Alyssa, Kori, Samantha, Eric, Ignacio, Rosa, Gabriel, Joey, Nicolas, Julian and Gabriel. Ignacio is preceded in death by his father, Ignacio; mother, Alicia; brothers Francisco (Pancho) and Raymond. A visitation will be held at Basham and Lara Funeral Care (343 State Ave) from 5:30 - 9 p.m. on September 14, 2020. Funeral Service will be held at St. John the Evangelist (1300 9th Pl.) at 10 a.m. September 15, 2020.
