Irene Marie Cannon-Madkins

Irene Marie Cannon- Madkins was born on December 16, 1951, in Renton, Washington, to Erma Bowdish Tracy and Jedediah Royce Tracy. Irene resided in Federal Way, Washington with her parents and attended Steel Lake Elementary. As the only child, Irene enjoyed helping her parents around the house, working in the garden with her mother and doing carpentry work with her father. In 1969 while attending Thomas Jefferson High school, Irene met Tommie Lee Cannon, who she fell in love with and they began their courtship.
On December 20, 1971, Irene and Tommie gave birth to Kenneth LeVern in Auburn, Washington. In 1972 Irene and Tommie moved to Chicago, Illinois, while residing in Chicago, Irene worked at Cook County Hospital and received her GED. On March 12, 1973, in Chicago, Illinois Irene and Tommie gave birth to Royce Webb. Later that year Irene married Tommie on November 3, 1973.
In 1975 Irene and Tommie relocated to Bakersfield, California and opened a night club which was known as the Cowboys Club. On May 21, 1971 Irene and Tommie gave birth to their daughter Charman Rene. After six years of marriage Irene and Tommie separated. Irene returned home residing in Tacoma, Washington to receive the help from her parents as she raised three children and worked fulltime at St. Joseph Hospital as a Staffing Coordinator for 10 years. After Irene's father passed away in 1987, she relocated to Des Moines, Washington to be closer to her mother. Irene was a hard worker and worked two jobs to provide for her children. On September 25, 1994, Irene's mother passed away in Federal Way, Washington.
In 1995, Irene began dating Lonnie Madkins, they later married in Washoe, Nevada, on October 14, 1996. Irene and Lonnie relocated to Bakersfield, California to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Irene continued to work in the medical field and began working at Bakersfield Heart Hospital as a Staffing Coordinator, later being promoted to the HR Payroll department. After 8 years of marriage, Lonnie, who was the love of her life, passed away.
In 2003, Irene began attending Fruit of the Vines Ministry, where she served as the church Secretary and a Deaconess. During her time with Fruit of the Vines, Irene did missionary work, taking trips to Mexico and feeding the homeless.
Irene was married to Obia Webb on December 31, 2010. Although they separated, they loved each other very much and remained friends.
In 2015 Irene decided to attend Praise Center of Bakersfield to be closer to her daughter, Charman and family. During that brief time at Praise Center, Irene stepped right in and continued to do what God had called her to do, Kingdoms work.
In 2016, after working 15 years at the Bakersfield Heart Hospital, Irene retired and relocated to Monterey Bay, California to help her granddaughter, Charenee while she attended (CSUMB) California State University Monterey Bay. After only being there a short while Irene became very ill, so her children moved her back to Bakersfield with the help of her Praise Center family. Irene continued to fight her illness by remaining strong and keeping herself rooted and grounded in God's word until the Lord took her home.
Irene enjoyed working in her garden, fishing and taking trips to the beach just to sit and enjoy the waves and the sounds of the ocean. Irene was the most genuine, sweet, kind hearted and loving person. All that had the privilege of knowing her, will miss her enormously.
Irene is preceded in death by her parent, Jedediah and Ema Tracy. Irene leaves to mourn her sons, Kenneth (daughter-in-law LaBrea) Cannon, Royce Cannon, daughter, Charman (son-in-law, Willie) Beathia all of Bakersfield, California, god daughter Lana Friday of Auburn, Washington, 13 grandchildren William (aka Man Man), Kedra, Morgan (aka Tank), Anei'Sjana, Charenee', Tyger, Jada, Amya, Kydady, Analah, Cordell, Amerirah, Eliana, two great grandchildren Kydian and Hazel, two god grandchildren, Kiara and host of nieces nephews and friends.
