Isaac Woodrow Hornsby II

Isaac Hornsby II (Ike) was born in Bakersfield California June 30,1947. He passed away peacefully July 8,2023 at home in Bakersfield California with his beloved wife Vickie Hornsby by his side. Ike was an innovator in the swimming pool industry. He was a businessman always thinking ahead. However what Ike cherished being the most was a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. In business Ike was always finding ways to improve the swimming pool industry. He spent more than 40 years being a leader in the swimming pool industry. He helped to launch many other careers within the industry. In his personal life, Ike was loving, caring, kind and compassionate. He was always there for people in need. He was an athlete and a coach. He was a fan of all sports. An even bigger fan of his family. Ike will be missed dearly by his family, friends and the many young men and women that he coached over the years. Ike is survived by his wife Vickie, sons and daughter in laws Ike and Christy, Adam, Jason and Nicole, Scott and Diane, sister LuAnn as well as grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless people who loved him. Ike is preceded in death by his father Ike and stepmom Pauline, mother Frances and stepdad Cecil as well as his son James, daughters Mary and Rhonda, brother Danny and sisters Carole and Barbara. A celebration of life will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help 124 Columbus Street Bakersfield, CA 93305 on Saturday July 29, 2023 at 11:00 am.
