Jacqueline Lee LaPan "Gramma Jackie"

February 23, 1961 — January 31, 2022

Jacqueline Lee LaPan "Gramma Jackie" was gifted by the lord to Stanley and Janet LaPan in New Britain, Connecticut on the 23rd day of February in 1961. Gramma Jackie faced many difficult life challenges while in this world, and on January 31st, 2022, surrounded by the love of her son Arthur, daughter Shondrea, son in law Joaquin, and five of her grandchildren Alyssa, Alianna, Azalia, Joaquin, and Johnny, while in the arms of the lord and a peaceful smile on her face she took her last breath in this world and was reborn to heaven.

Gramma was a dreamer who was wide awake, a recovery warrior, a poet of realistic words, a traveler of many paths, a lover with many heartbreaks, an artist of many landscapes, and a loving grandmother and mother who lived her life freely. She was the life of the party and was not afraid to be carefree and silly, she enjoyed letting her long beautiful hair down and dancing with friends, she was okay with coloring outside of the lines, and was truly her authentic self. Gramma Jackie was not ashamed of her flaws she instilled love and redemption into her family, her laughter and love were contagious, MOM you will always be a wildflower among roses (astoundingly beautiful, brave, strong, resilient, and free).

Gramma Jackie spent the last 10 year of her life selflessly devoted to her family: homeschooling four of her grandchildren throughout the pandemic, encouraging her youngest daughter and son in law to complete their graduate program, steadily providing support to those who sought it during difficult times, and making family traditions happen. She enjoyed listening to music, writing poetry, reading books, and above all anything that involved talking to and spending time with family. She loved talks with her mother, chats with distant relatives, storytelling with her youngest son, joking non-stop with her daughter and son in law, and most of all playing with her grandchildren.

Jacqueline is preceded in death by her father Stanley LaPan and is survived by her mother Janet LaPan, her sister Donna, her son Arthur Recio and his children (Arthur and Elijah), her daughter and son in law Shondrea and Joaquin Gil and their five children (Alyssa, Alianna, Azalia, Joaquin, and Johnny), her son and daughter in law Anthony and Trina Castruita and their three children (Christopher, Jack and Carter), and daughter and son in law Salena and Jeremy Colp and their five children (Kate, Emily, Alexis, Ruby, and Royal).

Momma... you, your memories, and your experiences are cloaked in the lord's forgiveness, grace, and protection. You will be remembered as a loving, beautiful, caring, and selfless mother, grandmother, and child of God. We will forever regret not cherishing you more. Momma thank you for all the love you flooded into our family and for showing us the beauty of forgiveness and redemption. Gamma I'm gunna miss you soo much, love Johnny. We love you magamma... see you when we get home.
