Jorge Arturo Sigala passed away on Monday, September 7th, 2020 in Loma Linda CA, after battling Covid for 40 days. He had just turned 63 years old. Jorge was born on August 28, 1957, in Tampico, Tamaulipas. He attended Normal Superior University in Tamaulipas where he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology. He then went on to attend 2 years of Medical School in Posa Rica, Veracruz. An intelligent being; he was social, generous, ambitious, kind hearted, and trustworthy. He was a great older brother and generously helped his mother and siblings. He was a nature lover and always loved music, though he had two left feet. Jorge's love of biology soon brought him to teach in Tampico Tamaulipas, where he met the love of his life and in 1983, Jorge married Sofia Ruiz de Sigala. Two years later they welcomed daughter Pauleth, 3 years after that, their daughter Nadia. Jorge was excited for Sofia and his family to join him in a life changing journey to the United States. Where he always worked hard and achieved his American Dream. While in the United States, Jorge welcomed his only son, Jorge (Jorgito). Jorge worked as a Carwash Manager for many years, eventually owning his own mobile carwash business. He also worked as a radio personality and eventually worked for Bakersfield City School District where he remained employed at the time of his passing. Jorge was a hardworking family man that led by example, anyone that knew him knew that Jorge cherished his family and was loved by all. Jorge became a proud US citizen in 2014. In addition to Sofia, Pauleth, Nadia and Jorge (Jorgito), Jorge is survived by his mother Elena Gomez, as well as his sister Patricia Sigala, brothers Francisco Sigala, Oscar Delgado and Juan Delgado, grandchildren Naythan, Eva, Julian, and Lawrence, and son in law Edmundo Gonzalez, as well as many loving friends and family. Jorge is an example of humility and love. He was an amazing human being and will forever live in our hearts. The funeral service will be at Basham Funeral Care Chapel, 3312 Niles St, Bakersfield CA. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 29th 2020 from 5:00pm-8:00pm. The service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2020 at 10:00am.
